Gaming Trends 2025

August 16, 2025

We have said it before, and we will say it again:
Gaming is not a pastime; it is a tax on young men.

The Dopamine Cartel

The release of GTA VI in 2026 isn't just a media event; it's a macroeconomic shock. We are about to witness millions of young men opt out of the labor force and the mating market to immerse themselves in a high-fidelity simulation of criminal success. Why? Because the real world has become too expensive. When you cannot afford a house, a car, or a date, the ROI of a $70 video game that offers 500 hours of status and achievement is rationally higher than participating in the real economy.

The Real-World "Merge"

We are seeing a bifurcated market. On one end, "spatial computing" and AR games are trying to drag players back outside - think Pokemon GO with AI brains. On the other, we have the "gambling-ification" of everything. The line between gaming and gambling has dissolved. "Loot boxes," "gacha mechanics," and "play-to-earn" are just unregulated casinos targeting the pre-frontal cortex of minors.

The Danger: We are losing a generation of young men to the basement. The "manosphere" preys on their loneliness, but the gaming industry monetizes their isolation. We need to create on-ramps for these men back into society, or we will face a crisis of volatility that no amount of GDP growth can fix.

Human driven creativity, AI powered craft. Let’s bring the unexpected to life.
